So happy to have been awarded a grant from the John Stites Jazz awards to pursue studies in counterpoint. I am starting a large writing project in the Fall, and these studies are in support of that. So grateful to this incredible, grass-roots organization. JSJA does so much for the jazz community in West Michigan and nationally!
